New Data Dashboard advances Black health equity
The Council on Black Health is excited to announce the launch of our Data Dashboard. It’s a powerful tool that displays critical information in an easy-to-understand format. The Council is a data-driven organization. As a leader in the health equity space, setting and achieving goals is essential to our mission.
The dashboard shows project info and key performance indicators. It links to our goals. These indicators focus on reducing chronic illnesses affecting Black communities. They also improve healthcare access and communication within the community. Our efforts are guided by the Black Health Bill of Rights. This document outlines strategies for better health in Black communities.
“We are dedicated to our vision of realizing healthy Black communities,” said Dr. Melicia Whitt-Glover, Executive Director. “We and our partners must work together to find and fix gaps in the culture of care. This dashboard will better prepare us to use data-driven strategies to more effectively develop and promote solutions that achieve healthy Black communities.”
Healthy People 2030
The Council on Black Health has accepted the role of a Healthy People 2030 Champion. Healthy People 2030 initiative includes a list of more than 350 public health goals set by the federal government. This partnership ensures the Council on Black Health’s strategy aligns with the national health goals. The objectives are data-driven. They aim to improve health and well-being over the next decade.

“The new data dashboard lets us highlight the Council’s successes. It also lets us find ways to improve our programming,” said Amina Bility, a Council program manager. “Data helps us tell a richer story about Black health. The Council is excited to share this tool with our communities.”
