We are excited to announce our new partnership to address youth mental health in Chicago.
Project Brotherhood and The Common Ground Foundation are embarking on a distinctive and culturally specific approach to address the mental health needs of Black youth in Chicago and surrounding areas.
This pioneering strategy is rooted in a Community-Based Participatory Research framework, ensuring active involvement and empowerment of the target population. Through a shared decision-making approach, community members will contribute to the development of culturally specific, unique, and creative tools aimed at addressing mental health concerns among Black youth.
Recognizing the academic intricacies of research, the Council on Black Health will serve as a mentor, guiding both agencies through the academic dimensions of the research process.
Our expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the research capabilities. Furthermore, we will play a key role in assisting with the next round of submissions for the Alliance for Research in Chicagoland Communities’ grant process, ensuring that the proposals align with the program’s objectives and expectations.
